KiwiStars 2025

Below are the full guidelines and evaluation sheets for the NEW 2025 KiwiStars! They align directly with the current World Aquatics and ASNZ figures for each category. 

Any swimmers wishing to compete at regional competitions must have a minimum of KiwiStar 2 (Dolphins), and a minimum of KiwiStar 3 (Dolphins) for national competitions. See the full KiwiStar Guidelines 2025 document below for further competition Star requirements. 

There has been a change in the judging of KiwiStars from the previous scoring system and pass marks. Please read the guidelines document thoroughly for more information. 

The new 2025 KiwiStars are in place as of 3rd April 2025. All clubs should be training towards and assessing these new stars as of now. As the skills are designed to be relevant to the current figures, it should not be a huge transition for coaches and athletes. 

These KiwiStars will be updated again for 2026 so they remain inline with the figures and elements of the 2026 rules.
